David Elbrecht

David Elbrecht is a 2006 graduate of Valley Forge HS, where he was active across the music department as a cellist in Dr. Laycock’s orchestra and bassist in the jazz band. He studied bass with Dr. Philip Serna and Bruce Evans at Valparaiso University and was a 4-year member of the University Symphony. Dave also served as Stage Manager for the Departments of Music & Theatre and Assistant to the Director, VU Center for the Arts. He interned at Mel Bay Publishing (Pacific, MO) before being appointed Operations Manager of the Wisconsin Philharmonic (Waukesha, WI).

Dave enrolled at Cleveland State University in 2013 to pursue Master of Accountancy, earning his CPA license in 2015. He is currently Manager, General Ledger Accounting for National Safety Apparel in Cleveland and holds membership in Beta Gamma Sigma and Beta Alpha Psi honor societies.

A resident of West Park, Dave returned home to Valley Forge, beginning his most recent term with the Parma Symphony in 2014. He is also active in the music ministry at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Westlake, was a founding member of The Circle, the Cleveland Orchestra Young Professionals Association, and is a Guardians and CSU men’s basketball season ticket holder.
