Jacqueline Cabral
Jacqueline started playing the violin at age 9 after her cousin left his violin at her house after school one day and she couldn’t resist attempting to play it! Coming from a very musical family, she developed a love of classical music at a young age and found the violin to be the perfect instrument for her. Beginning at St. Charles, she also played at Parma High School, was a member of the Cleveland Diocesan High School Orchestra and participated in the Ohio Northeast Regional Orchestra. Jacqueline studied with Anita Mares and Jeanette Drinkall Meyer, former longtime concertmistress of the Parma Symphony. Life then took her in a different direction. Working as a legal assistant and raising a family became priority and playing was only enjoyed in her spare time. Then in 2000 she started playing regularly again and in 2013 participated in the Baldwin Wallace Adult Music education program. Jacqueline subsequently joined Parma Symphony in 2014 and also played with other orchestras, including Symphony West. Jacqueline enjoys performing for church groups and in ensembles, but feels most privileged to be able to play the music she loves with Parma Symphony.
