I grew up in Western Pennsylvania and started playing the piano and violin while in elementary school. In junior high I decided to also play the flute because I wanted to be in the band. Throughout high school I enjoyed participating in district and state band and orchestra festivals and also playing in community orchestras and bands.
After earning my bachelors degree in music education at Baldwin Wallace, I began my teaching career in instrumental music in Portage County. I returned to Berea to teach instrumental music in the Berea School District and during this time I earned my Master of Arts degree from Case Western Reserve University.
After the birth of my daughter, I became a stay at home mom. To keep myself involved, I directed the Carillon Bell Choir at Parma South Presbyterian Church for many years. It was a most enjoyable experience as we participated in district and national festivals sponsored by the national bell ringers association.
Now I enjoy playing the piano at worship services for several nursing homes in Medina and have been playing the violin in the Parma Symphony since 1999. I enjoy living in Hinckley with my golden retriever Lily and cat Willow and sharing in the lives of my grandchildren Logan, Ashlynn and their parents.
